A document is an element of the library, placed on the shelves. Most of those documents are printed documents like books, magazines etc. To a lesser extent, there are also miscellaneous documents such as tapes and CDs.

A document is defined by two levels, a generic level and an item level.

Generic

The generic level describes the expression of a work. It is the bibliographic reference of the document. For example, "Des récits ordinaires" by Grégory Castéra, Yaël Kreplak and Franck Leibovici published by Les presses du Réel and Villa Arson in 2014.

Item

The item level describes the copy of a generic entity. For example, the copy of "Des récits ordinaires" by Grégory Castéra, Yaël Kreplak and Franck Leibovici published by Les presses du Réel and Villa Arson in 2014 and which is in Agency's library.
