A document is an element of the library, placed on the shelves. Most of these documents are printed documents like books, magazines etc. To a lesser extent, there are also miscellaneous documents such as tapes and CDs.

A document is defined by two levels, a generic level and a copy level.

Generic

The generic level describes the expression of a work. It is the bibliographic reference of the document.

For example, "Des récits ordinaires" by Grégory Castéra, Yaël Kreplak and Franck Leibovici published by Les presses du Réel and Villa Arson in 2014.

There are two types of generic bibliographic reference: periodic and non-periodic.

Copy

The copy level describes a copy of a generic entity.

For example, the copy of "Des récits ordinaires" by Grégory Castéra, Yaël Kreplak and Franck Leibovici published by Les presses du Réel and Villa Arson in 2014 which is in Agency's library.

How to reference a document?

To reference a document, you have to follow the following steps :

1. Write the title of your document in the search box. Be careful to use the correct spelling.

2. Situation A: the page doesn't exist yet.

You'll have to create a page. For example, if you were looking for "my book" and the page doesn't exist yet, the following text is displayed "Create the page "My book" on this wiki!". Click on it and follow the Referencing the generic level of a document guide below.

2. Situation B : the page already exists.

This means a generic reference already exists. You'll have to add a copy to its page. Click on the page of the generic document and click on "edit source", on the top of the page. Follow the Referencing a copy of a document guide below.

Referencing the generic level of a document

This opens an editing interface. Follow the correct template (either periodic or non-periodic) to reference the data of your new document.

Referencing a non-periodic document

For a non-periodic document, copy the following code and add your data after the "=" sign. To know how to write them, follow the guidelines in the table below.

Referencing a copy of a document

On a document page, the generic reference is on top, and the copy section is below. In the editing interface, you then have to put the copy bloc of code below the periodic or non-periodic bloc of code. Copy the following code and add your data after the "=" sign. To know how to write them, follow the guidelines in the table below.

{{Copy
