Description:

Through an approach often akin to documentary, Demorcy explores situated practices, scientific, popular, and oral knowledge, processes of fermentation, perception, non-human worlds, political ecology, and the Commons.

He participated in several exhibitions, some of which together with Agency, such as "Laboratorium" (Antwerpen Open and Roomade – Antwerp, 1999); "Making Things Public" (ZKM – Karlsruhe, 2005); "Animism" (Extra City, M HKA Antwerp, Kunsthalle Bern, 2010-2012).

Demorcy has participated in the creation of several collectives of "activist-researchers" (philosophy, alternative currency, artist status, international network of community radio stations) and is involved in projects related to forest management, community gardening, conservation, selection, and propagation of ancient grains and varieties adapted to current climate change. He's part of Li Mestère, Réseau Belge de semences paysannes.

He is also the co-translator, with Isabelle Stengers, of "Comment la terre s'est tue - Pour une écologie des sens" by David Abram and teacher at ERG, Brussels.
